The 1975 have revealed that they’ll headline this yr’s Studying & Leeds Competition, filling the slot beforehand held by Lewis Capaldi, with a set celebrating the tenth anniversary of their self-titled debut album.
Frontman Matty Healy revealed the information onstage at TRNSMT competition in Glasgow this weekend (July 09), saying “So, on Saturday at Studying and Sunday at Leeds in celebration of 10 years of our debut album, The 1975 will probably be enjoying that album in full in assist of our good buddy Lewis Capaldi. If you happen to’ve obtained tickets, good for you. If you happen to haven’t, go and get them. We’ll see you there.”
The band’s self-titled album options the singles ‘Intercourse’, ‘Robbers’, ‘The Metropolis’ and ‘Women’ and reached No.1 within the UK album chart again in 2013. It has since been licensed 2x platinum.
Going down between August 25-27, different artists on the Studying & Leeds competition lineup embody You Me At Six, Nothing However Thieves, Sleep Token, Chase Atlantic and Don Broco alongside headliners The Killers, Billie Eilish, Think about Dragons, Sam Fender and Foals.
