“Each time I watch this video it hits me… It’s a stupendous music scene, and it actually makes me so grateful that I get to do what I do. Due to James Rexroad for coming alongside and capturing the neighborhood, the power, and the ability of heavy music in our lives. Shoutout to my bandmate Doug Sabolick, John Cota (sound engineer), and Augie Arredondo for enhancing the rattling factor. From the fjords of Norway, the wooden fired saunas of Helsinki and Tallinn, to the beer halls of Bochum, with mates new and outdated, this one goes out to the followers who assist underground music. The neighborhood is robust. We love you.”
On high of releasing this video, Creator & Punisher’s Drone Machines gear firm simply joined forces with producer and vocalist ARCA to design some tools for her reside present Mutant;Destrudo, which shall be going down at Park Avenue Armory in New York via October 15.

“There aren’t many artists on the market as progressive and groundbreaking as Arca. Her model of manufacturing and visible design is visceral, darkish, and bleak, but at all times intriguing and thrilling. She’s produced superb solo works in addition to music for Bjork, Kanye West, and FKA Twigs, to call just a few. When she requested me to construct her some machines, I instantly jumped on it.
“We’ve labored on this now for the previous eight months with Alejandra and her inventive group specializing in constructing some industrial controllers that may work together along with her DJ setup and permit her to make broader, extra bodily strokes with levers, sliders, and huge knobs. There are 5 machines in whole: one Fader, two Throttles, and two Platters which can be all rack mounted above her DJ setup with the desk suspended from the ceiling by chains.
“The aesthetic of Drone Machines (the small gear firm birthed from Creator & Punisher) is uncooked and industrial, with heavy machine parts. Functionally, there may be MIDI, USB, DSP Audio output, and CV/Gate; they’re fully open supply. Many thanks and shoutouts to the group at Drone Machines working with me who helped on this mission in addition to the opposite units we’re making: Adam Reed-Erickson (mechanical engineer), Jason Start (sound designer, producer, composer), and Hanri Thayyil (software program engineer).”
