Jessie Ware groups up with Róisín Murphy for a brand new tackle “Freak Me Now”
Disco-Pop
Jessie Ware has joined forces with former Moloko lead singer Róisín Murphy for a brand new recording of “Freak Me Now” a monitor from her present album, “That! Feels Good!“.
The fourth single to return from the album, which was launched in April and charted at No.3 within the UK, “Freak Me Now” was co-written with common collaborator Clarence Espresso Jnr, and album producer Stuart Worth.
The monitor was described by us on the time as a “Late 70’s Disco-Funkbusting tune. Depraved bass beat. Repetitive lyrics stick like glue” and we gave it 4 out of 5 stars! The brand new replace sees Jessie hook up with Róisín, who has herself launched a brand new album in 2023, “Hit Parade”, her sixth since she debuted solo with “Ruby Blue” in 2005 adopted with the sensational “Overpowered” in 2007.
“Freak Me Now” and the accompanying tracks on “That! Feels Good!”, all take Jessie’s Funk/Disco sound she started with “What’s Your Pleasure?” deeper underground with a wry, bluriness of sound and judgement and “Freak Me Now” is not any exception. The approaching collectively of two nice performers, each with their very own sense of drama and course on how music ought to be and change into, is one other faultless transfer by each concerned. That is no cat battle a la “Kiss Of Life“, this new twist demonstrates strong sisterhood as they each taunt “Child, hold heating me up, Oh, no, don’t you go cool me down”.
Jessie takes the album on tour this Autumn/Winter whereas Róisín takes to the street in August with dates throughout Europe, America and the UK into 2024. Each artists have now carried out at Glastonbury with Jessie taking to the stage in 2023 and Róisín in 2022 so who is aware of, it could possibly be subsequent 12 months that they each freak you now…?!
