Me Cansé, single by Renee Goust.  Probably the most impactful rising feminine artists of her technology, Mexican or in any other case, and this single tells you why. Deeply emotional, highly effective, leading edge, and easily stunning. Goust is certainly one of a sort and her music will encourage you, generally anger and amuse you (like her 2017 tune “Cumbia Feminazi”), however all the time mesmerize you. Reside at The Scala Theatre, album by Eric Bibb. Ten grab- your- gut- blues songs by a grasp. This can be a uncommon deal with you can shut your eyes  to and simply move with the harmonica, the guitar, and his timeless voice. The songs are new (apart from a Leadbelly traditional) however really feel acquainted. I simply love this album. Stream on all main platforms.

Haz, álbum,  by La Yegros. I reviewed her single “Bodas de Plumas” again in January and hinted at extra to come back. It’s right here and it’s a delight. The “Queen of Nu Cumbia” has upped the ante on this album along with her mixing of cumbia, conventional folks, and world music in 10 songs which might be all completely different, however unmistakably La Yegros. She tackles troublesome subjects, however is so listenable that you just hear.  Stream on all main platforms.  Spanish.

Nuestra Canción, single by GALE. Rock,  ballad,  outer house, inside house – they’re all right here. GALE brings one thing completely different to Latin music. The Puerto Rican singer songwriter has a classically skilled voice and an innate sense of composition. The result’s magic and this tune showcases her magic superbly.  Stream on Spotify and main platforms. Spanish.

Rewind Ahead EP by Ringo Starr.  Good old style rock and roll – with a little bit of a twist. Pure enjoyable. “Miss Jean” will deliver again muscle reminiscences of the glory days of rock and roll. A should for Starr followers, and enjoyable for everybody else. Hold an eye fixed open April 26 for the digital  launch of his new EP, February Sky, produced by the legendary  Linda Perry.  Stream on all main platforms.

Metiroso, single by Helen Ochoa. An excellent gifted Mexican-America singer /songwriter with an enormous following hits a house run. Metiroso (liar) strikes together with Latin rhythms, the Mexican tuba, sharp percussion, and lyrical urgency benefiting its title. A mix of Latin dance, Mexican regional, and simply plain enjoyable. Dance or simply snap your fingers, you’ll adore it. Stream on Spotify. Spanish.
