All Saints star Shaznay Lewis unveils new solo album

Following the discharge of her comeback solo single Miracle, All Saints’ Shaznay Lewis has introduced particulars of Pages, her first solo album in 20 years.

Pages, her long-awaited second solo album, can be launched on 17 Might and to have fun the singer has unveiled new single Kiss Of Life. Watch the video beneath:

Beginning once more

Shaznay says, “I do really feel as if I’m beginning once more, and making this file with some particular individuals has been an exhilarating expertise. I felt free for the primary time.

“For this album, myself and the individuals I labored with had been making it for one cause solely: to simply make music that we felt was good, and for individuals to take and luxuriate in. It is advisable to be in the precise place and clear headspace to create good work and at last, I had that.”

Each basic and modern, Kiss Of Life is a punchy, dubby, observe paying homage to 70s soul legends resembling Minnie Ripperton and Donnie Hathaway.

Shaznay, who collaborated on the track with author/producer group Emily Phillips and Ant Whiting (Florence + The Machine, Sigrid), provides, “I like to speak lots earlier than we begin creating something. That feels extra natural to me; when you find yourself about to open your self up it’s essential to know the individual a bit extra. I had some fantastic conversations with Emily. We performed with many melody concepts, and as soon as Kiss of Life was completed we knew we had one thing particular. I at all times know what my ears wish to hear. The album options Self Esteem, Shola Ama and Basic Levy and consists of contributions from writers and producers: Ben Cullum (Celeste), Michael Angelo (Sam Smith, Not3s), Johan Hugo (Self Esteem, Diplo), Jez Ashurst (Maisie Peters, Little Combine), Moyses Dos Santos (Freya Ridings) and Charlie Stacey (Ezra Collective).
