The Church Announce New Fall 2023 U.S. Tour Dates

In Help of twenty sixth Studio Album The Hypnogogue

Australian rock band, The Church, have added a second leg to their North American tour in assist of their twenty sixth studio album The Hypnogogue, which got here out in February through Speaking Vessels. Along with the tour, The Church shall be releasing a digital deluxe version of The Hypnogogue which is able to embrace further songs not included on the unique 13-track album. “Not in my wildest desires did I count on all of the love that has been thrown at this report by the audiences and the critics,” says bassist/vocalist Steve Kilbey in a press launch. “I’m excited to play a complete bunch of latest locations and take this unbelievable model of The Church to wherever of us wish to hear us.”

Based by Kilbey, the line-up is rounded out with long-time collaborator Tim Powles, drummer and producer throughout 17 albums since ‘94; guitarist Ian Haugformerly of Australian rock icons Powderfinger, who joined the band in 2013; and Jeffrey Cain (Remy Zero), touring multi-instrumentalist who’s now a full-time member of The Church because the departure of Peter Koppes in early 2020. The band has additionally recruited Ashley Naylor, a long-time member of Paul Kelly’s touring band .

“I’m most excited for anybody who hasn’t heard this report and in addition those that have as they really feel all of the love and work that goes into these songs coming to life each evening,” Kilbey says. “We continually streamline and enhance the music and as I am going on explaining (to them and myself) the loopy and haphazard world of Eros Zeta and Solar Kim Jong [the album’s central characters] and the unusual beast that’s the Hypnogogue!”
