Volbeat‘s vocalist/guitarist Michael Poulsen has returned to his dying steel roots in Dominus together with his new outfit Asinhell. That trio finds him dealing with the guitar duties, whereas Marc Grewe (Insidious Illness, ex-Morgoth) handles the vocals and Morten Toft Hansen of Raunchy fame sits behind the drum equipment.

Steel Blade Information have picked up the band and might be releasing their debut album “Impii Hora” (Latin for ‘ungodly hour’) on September twenty ninth. A lyric video for the tune “Fall Of The Loyal Warrior” serves as your first style of that new report, Poulsen commented:

“We’re very excited to share the primary style of Asinhell with ‘Fall of the Loyal Warrior‘. The tune is sort of a tribute to bands I like, like Bolt Thrower, Entombed, Post-mortem, Grave, and Darkthrone. They’re the explanation why we will do that within the first place, and we’re proud to put on our influences on our sleeve.

The album was impressed by late ’80s and early ’90s old fashioned dying steel, and certainly one of our brightest factors of inspiration was the mighty Demise, fronted by the legendary Chuck Schuldiner. There’s loads of Demise in there. Schuldiner is certainly one of my favourite dying steel vocalists, the opposite being our vocalist Marc [Grewe]. So to me, this tune is the mix of two of my favorites. ‘Let the steel movement,’ as Chuck would have stated!”

Talking of signing with Steel Blade for the mission, Poulsen added:

“It’s such a dream come true for me to get to be on fucking Steel Blade Information. Once they stated they wished to place out the album, I felt like I used to be 17 years outdated once more. I used to be like, ‘Oh my God, I’m making a cope with Steel Blade! How cool is that?’ It was like I used to be lastly getting the report deal I dreamed of once I was a youngster.”
