On September 15, UMR will reissue The Who’s 1971 album Who’s Subsequent in a collection of deluxe editions incorporating the deserted Life Home venture from which it advanced.

In new liner notes, Pete Townshend describes Life Home as “a portentous polemic in regards to the coming of a nation overwhelmed down by local weather points and air pollution.”

The Tremendous Deluxe version of Who’s Subsequent/Life Home will include 10 CDs, all remastered from the unique tapes by longtime Who engineer Jon Astley, plus a Blu-ray Audio disc with newly-created Atmos & 5.1 encompass mixes of Who’s Subsequent (and 14 bonus tracks) by Steven Wilson.

Among the many 155 tracks on the Tremendous Deluxe version are Townshend’s demos for Life Home; The Who’s 1971 session recordings on the Document Plant in New York; periods at Olympic Studios in London from 1970-1972; and, for the primary time, two newly blended and full 1971 concert events from London’s Younger Vic Theatre and San Francisco’s Civic Auditorium.

The field set additionally accommodates a 100-page hardback guide containing Townshend’s introduction and new sleevenotes. Additionally included is Life Home – The Graphic Novel, a newly commissioned, 170-page hardback guide overseen by Townshend that tells the story behind the venture. Finishing the set are reproductions of two gig posters and two live performance programmes, plus pin badges and a color photograph of The Who with printed autographs.

Who’s Subsequent may also be out there as restricted version 4-LP and 3-LP units, that includes, respectively, the first-ever full launch of the San Francisco live performance from 1971 and vinyl replicas of Townshend’s authentic Life Home. The unique Who’s Subsequent album may also be out there as a single LP half-speed remaster accomplished at Abbey Street Studios, and in different unique single vinyl variations.
